Hi - I am doing some research for a school project which I have to do over the holidays, about UK homeowner loans. With the recent problems in the US sub-prime mortgage markets, it's quite a issue at the moment.

I am trying to find out if there are central figures about the number, value and status of UK homeowner loans. I'm not talking about the numbers quoted every now and then in the papers, but if there is any kind of central "official" numbers. Also I am referring to actual loans, not mortgages, so secured homeowner loans.

I haven't been able to find a central set of figures, just what the banks decide to publish (which of course is only ever what they want us to see).
